yea.. well i did the DIY clear and red tails and thought cool now ill get some leds!! (red ones).. so i got them at my local auto store $17...and installed them at night, boy-o-boy were they bright...as soon as it was morning i tested them again and i could barely see them... because of the way the camry signal lights mount at an angle, you dont get the full effect of the leds.. so i had to lose them for fear of getting pulled and just bought some regular red filament bulbs (ebay 5.99$).. i just installed them.. at night again.. and they damn well better work in the morning...sigh:disappoin
why LEDS owned me...

You have to make your own backing for the lights so that they point backwards and not to the side.
I have been wondering, do regular bulbs work with the brake light wires? Do they still get brighter when you hit the brakes?
