I was doing a tire rotation on my 2015 SE yesterday and on the left side of the car in both front and rear, I LITERALLY had to stand on the lug wrench and move up and down to get it to break loose cause it was impossible by using two hands. I can't believe the studs didn't rip off from how tightened it was from the factory.

From how much pressure I put on it by having to step on it with my whole body weight, i'm thinking it was tightened around 160 lbs ft instead of the recommended 80 ft lbs. The whole right side of my car was tightened properly and i was easily able to remove it by hand. WTF UGH!

Why are you quoting me..?

I dont like the 4 ways. They dont fit anywhere in the spare tire area and like to dance around making all kinds of noise.

In the event I have a flat, The OEM wrench will work. Im 6'4 250lbs. Im quite sure I can break the lugs.

cuz I was suggesting to get a 4-way.

You can cut a few channels in the foam insert that goes on top of the spare - no bouncing, no noise or just keep it in your garage for tire rotations and other stuff.

could be corrosion or rust?

That OEM lug wrench is the worst. I usually have to stand on it to break the lugs anyways.
def not corrosion, my car barely has 5000 miles on it and i live in a dry area (socal). The right side of the car was torqued perfectly but the left was WAY overtorqued. These studs are very strong since it was able to handle the 160-200 lbs ft of tightening.

My lug nuts literally BARKED/popped when it broke loose cause it was so tight.

They should zip off with ease. I usually have to be on my toes when I impact Toyota Care 5k cars or I'll drop those lugnuts left and right. I only tap the trigger once each time.

Maybe the dealer inventory had switch rims from the delivery steelies to the alloys. Torque them way over???

Get a L-shape lug nut wrench that handle expands out. I use it in the past: even have two of them in my emergency trunk toolbox.
