Hi, I am planning to buy the Tommy Kaira spoiler for the 86 because I didn't want the spoiler in the aero package they have and I didn't get it, Would installing this particular spoiler from a body shop void the warranty in any way?, or only if rusting occurs because of the spoiler?

From what my dealer told me about adding mods to my car (FR-S), nothing you add "voids" the warranty. What voids the warranty is if that specific part is broken because of what you have added. So, let's say I slap a fat turbo on my engine and kept stock internals. When I blow my motor, the dealer will not service the rod that shot through my hood because it was because of a mod I have added. So with a spoiler, I think you are A-OK. Post pics when you get it installed :)

Yes, if a dealership says they will void your warranty for putting on a spoiler but the issue is mechanical, that's total BS because it's not related.

As far warranty goes, most exterior parts will not void warranty.
