Does anyone know if I could buy a blank key for a RAV4 and have it cut and programmed to work on my '07 Tacoma? Toyota should have also made this the key for the Tacoma not just the RAV4:

That would make carrying the key a whole lot more comfortable. Nice find, hopefully someone will know the answer and then we all can bid against each other for the next set of keys that comes up.

Try asking the seller. Tell him there will be some more people interested if so.

I would assume with the immobilzers on the new tacomas that this would not work "out of the box" thats not to say you could have the key married and match to your trucks immobilizer.

I ran into the same issue with a VW of mine - I was able to re-marry it and works fine. You just need either a dealer tech to do this or the software yourself.

Then you guys should try carrying two of these damn remotes! The wife's 2005 Camry has one and my Tacoma has one plus the immobolizer chip in the Tacoma key. Talk about major pocket draggage! My mom just bought a 2007 Camry and it has a key like the one in the ebay link.

my girlfriend's scion tc has one like that. i personally don't like them though.
