I've been wanting to have my windows tinted and I only have one concern. The door panels. Is there a problem with panels rattling after tinting? I assume they have to come off. I've replaced things like speakers on some cars and rattling panels have always been a problem. I normally have to spend a bit of time locating then fixing/fitting them?
Thanks,
Bob

Tint places don't remove the door pannels.

All tint films block 99.9% UVA/B.

Interms of IR heat rejection:
Ceramic is BEST, as it has the highest level of IR heat rejection. Car interior is 'cooler' compared to the other films. But it is EXPENSIVE.
Carbon is 2nd BEST, as it has the 2nd highest level of IR heat rejection. LESS expensive than Ceramic.
metalic film- has "metalic" pieces in the film, that you won't be able to see. May reduce cell phone signal strength due to the metal in film. Few places carry metalic film.
"hybrid" film - combination of metalic and dyed; few places carry it.
Dyed film - DO NOT get it! Turns purple after a few years. You will be wasting your money to pay to get the films removed and replaced w/ a higher quality film.

Carbon is your best choice. If you can splurge, get ceramic.

If you really have money, you can get CLEAR ceramic or carbon film placed onto the windshield.

Watch this video. The tinter may hand-cut or use a plotter to cut the film. The tinter may not use the same techniques as the tinter below to clean the windows and shrink the film to the glass profile

Can vouch for the difference with Ceramic. Before the tint I could feel myself getting tanned sitting in traffic. But nows its winter and I miss the radiant heat. Around here, for all side windows and rear it was $400 at a tint shop. They didn't have clear ceramic for the front windshield in stock.

You also have to be concerned with your state's laws. Some states, like NY.
Windshield: Must allow more than 70% of light in (non-reflective tint with any darkness can be used on top 6 inches). Front Side windows: Must allow more than 70% of light in. Back Side windows: Must allow more than 70% of light in. Rear Window: Any darkness can be used if using dual exterior rear view mirrors.

Legally, many darker tints are not allowed. But practically, if you aren't doing driving tests or need the vehicle inspected by the DMV you could have whatever tint you want knowing that it could be added onto an existing ticket if you get pulled over.

Agree with this statement. You can also help yourself when / if you are pulled over. Always put your windows all the way down in the front and back, and simply have both your hands on the top of steering wheel.
