Hi,

I'm getting poor visibilty through my 05 corolla windshield due to scratches and marks (nothing deep but just surface scratches due to snow scraping). I wanted to know 2 things:

1. Can such scratches be fixed? what would it cost to do that?

2. What would be a good place to buy a replacement windshield from, I'm in germantown MD and any price advice would be great too.

I remember there being some place here in FL who applies resin over windshield to seal cracks, streaks, and scratches. I can't remember the name of the place though.

If the scratches are very light, you can use a rotary polisher/buffer and a polishing compound to help reduce the scratches.

No I don't, a detailing shop would perform that. It would probably be cheaper to get a new windshield.

Only cost me $35 here in Ohio and the guy came to my house, he used a buffer and jewelers wax...This was a couple years ago I had wiper scratches from using a triple track wiper blade, all little stones and seeds get stuck in groves in the wiper...I think I looked under glass repair, if you call a local glass or auto shop they probably know of someone in your area that does this...Windshield replacement guys will tell you in won't work because they only want to sell you glass, but it worked for me...good luck
