Hello all…would love your thoughts..
I am the only owner of a 2005 LC and it has roughly 250k miles on it. I am thinking of putting about 10k into it (new suspension, wheels, tires seats, other upgrades) overall it is in great shape. I have done all required maintenance including 2 timing belts.
Would you all recommend I do all this work or sell it and upgrade to a 2012-2014? Costs would be somewhere around $10k more depending on what I get for the 2005.
Would really appreciate everyone’s thoughts. Thank you!

I'm my opinion buying a used car is always a risk. You don't know the cars history. You don't know how well it was maintained. How hard it was driven. I would rather stick to an older car that I know was perfectly maintained that take the risk of buying from a stranger. A well maintained car can last almost forever. A poorly maintained and abused car be much more expensive to fix even with relatively few miles.

It sounds as if you've kept her in Great shape, with only 250,000 on a Toyota, you have a long way to go before you'll need another ride! It's a Toyota, keep on driving, and taking care of it, it will last many more years!
it is in great shape...just needs some TLC...appreciate your feedback...I am going to slowly get it back to where I want it...thanks again

Are you putting stock suspension or nicer parts on your LC (and are you planning to do this on the new one)?

Does the 2012 have keyless? I believe that is more vulnerable to theft.:oops:
putting nicer parts, advice from a guy I use. I am not a mechanic but have read many reviews and it looks like Toytec coil overs are the way to go...appreciate your feedback
