looking for a muffler, and was wondering if this would work.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CAMRY-RSX-WRX-JSPEC-TITANIUM-STAINLESS-MUFFLER-EXHAUST_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33636QQitemZ8025049131QQrdZ1

would it sound too ricey even with the silencer on it?

thanks

Don't know about sound, but it would look kind of ricey. At least the one with the two pipes bent upward wouldn't look good... At all. Some guys on here have the big single pipe and it doesn't look too bad.
ive heard cars with and w/o a silencer using an ebay muffler, in fact i know a camry with that exact muffler and let me tell you, the quality is CRAP. sounds ok w/o the silencer but very ricey. with the silencer, it sounds like its farting, literally like a fart, just lots of air trying to force its way out and all you hear is turbulence.

i say get a magnaflow. :D
you get what you pay for... :dunno:
Wow... DO NOT get that. Like everyone said, you get what you pay for. You're gonna sound MAD ricey with that thing. I paid about $390 for my TRD muffler (Borla) to make sure it wasn't going to have a ricey sound, and it doesn't. It actually sounds WONDERFUL. For that price, I knew I was getting quality. And with a 4banger, I wasn't going to chance sounding shitty.
That looks really weird...why's the tip 2 or 3 times the diameter of the exhaust opening?
yea as they say you get what you pay for so make sure you buy quality
and actually silencers aren't that bad i agree sometimes they sound aweful but sometimes they sound great i have a silencer for my car but i don't have it in but it doesn't sound 2 bad but not as good as when it's out
I got one almost like that very one off ebay for like 30 bucks and it sounds great with the silencer in. Take that baby out and its loud as F#$%. I love the look. The stock muffler i took out was a monster.
i got mine off ebay. and it is a areospeed. so if you find a good one cheep do it. noting rong with using ebay just becarfull of the nock offs.
my friend has that ebay one on his celica st. sounds not bad.... not as bad as some of the people around here.
yea, any straight thru muffler will be really loud and you will lose performance since no back pressure.. but I'm go with a Magnaflow or somethin glike that, nice rowl but not a cop alarm

Wrong. Common misconception about backpressure and straight-through mufflers.

I have a TRD muffler, and it is straight-through, and (1) its a nice low growl, and (2) I didn't lose any performance OR gas milage.
i got the one for a turbo car. so i did lose backpressuer and lost lowend torq. but then i added a silencer and got it back.with more power. and it not as load as before
exhasut doens tmatter after teh headers. forget the backpressure bullshit, we arent looking for 0.5 extra hp.

just look at the welds on that muffler. they speak everything.

crap quality.
lol you can always expect terra to put his 2 cents in...but as for the backpressure crap i have heard that misconception about losing hp but if you even do lose any wouldn't it be miniscule anyways?? like terra said .5 hp
^Yup. Just like the article in the link that I posted, backpressure plays a very very small role in how much HP and torque you are gaining or losing. You'd never notice it.
as long as you leave the 2 resonators in, it shouldnt sound too ricey... i can take some vids of mine with the silencer in if you want to hear it, it sounds pretty dayam sweet
