Anybody know what replacement air filter goes in an XRS? Is it same as Corolla S and LE or same as Celica?

Is there anyything better than K&N?

Borla makes one to go with their exhaust.

K&N is probably one of the top few.
You could try an Amsoil filter, they're pretty good too....

Go CAI, it's the best.
