I really want the panoramic sunroof, but apparently the factory rack cannot be attached to this as the inner portion of the mounting foot would actually sit on the glass. So I'm stuck with buying Yakima Q-towers for mounting on the door frame. My question is--with the q-towers (or thule's version), is the sunroof fully operational? The q-towers do have a relatively small area of movement when installed, and on some vehicles the crossbar actually still sits in the way of opening glass on the sunroof. Meaning that the opening glass will actually hit the bar. Can anyone help me with this on the Venza? If someone can actually tell me how far the glass elevates when the sunroof opens, that would be a start. thanks

how does the sunroof work

Perhaps I can make this question easier. How does the sunroof work? If it pops up and slides back, I MAY have troubles. But if it simply slides back into the roofline itself, rather than above it, it can't interfere with a crossbar above it. So which is it, please.

The glass slides back on top not thru the roof. Also the very front has a piece of glass and is to deflect the wind, this piece moves up at an angle and is about 4 inches high when elevated.
