When I picked up my car, I took about 15 minutes to carefully inspect the exterior and the interior for any scratches/damages.

 

every delivery is different so there's nothing specific to look for, but check inside and out for any signs of damage, MAKE SURE they fill up all your fluids like wiper fluid, tranny fluid etc...

i did a detailed walkaround inside and out, i brought my own flashlight lol

 

Check for rust in the wheel wells and under the spoiler (popular areas).

 

Okay... 2 things!

1. Look at the area where you put your keys in. Make sure there are no scratches around the key ignition area.

2. Hold and check the steering wheel... look at the underside and the back area... make sure there are no tears or scratches on the leather!

I should have done those with mine. :sosad:

 

Indeed, mine had a couple scratches near the key hole at the ignition lock cylinder. I had the column cover replaced.

make sure you check for any scratches under your spoilers and lower rocker panels that unloading on car carrier can cause.:ugh3:

 

i called and they said i would be getting the details in the mail in about 6 to 8 weeks.i am still waiting.thanks for the info.

 

lol the only thing ive found on mine is plastic wrap. i swear ive had mine for 3 weeks and i keep finding plastic

 

Look behind the hinges in the front doors and you'll find styrofoam, too

 

check if the front lights work. When we purchased our 09, the front lights did not work when it was time to take it home. They checked the fuse, wiring etc and could not figure it out. Luckily there were a few other white S on the lot and we waited an extra hour to fill out the paperwork all over again while they washed and prepped the car.

 

my car also had scratches near the ignition. the rough plastic on the corolla is prone to any scratching.

I thought I would revive this thread in case there was anything else I should be looking for. Anyone recently have any issues?

 

Check the front bumper and back bumper....I almost had a silver Corolla CE ...had the papers signed and I was putting my old stuff from my old car in the truck when I saw the big huge mark on the back bumper. I found out when they park the cars they get too close to each other in the parking lot and the license plate screw hits the other car bumper... So I had to pick out a another car.. When I looked at other cars they some damage in the same place. Finally I found one without any damage. I am glad because I got a XLE instead of a CE. The difference in price was only 50.00 dollars a month.
