Floor Mats

I really want to replace the floor mats in Tacoma. I have light grey carpet and the mats get extremely dirty fast. I thought I saw some black rubber TRD mats on-line, but I cannot find them anymore. Does anyone know where to get some like that.

If not, are there any good alternatives out there.

I just got a pair of the all-weather black mats on Friday from toyotapart.com. They are great. I too had the grey carpet mats. After 4 months of summer use they looked like hell. They would have been worthless after this winter. The new mats say "Tacoma" on them like the post above says. I haven't seen any all-weather (aka rubber mats) with "TRD" on them.

The Toyota black rubber mats are nice, and certainly protect the rug better then the carpeted ones that come with it, BUT they still allow a lot of dirt, sand, mud, snow, water, etc... to get to the carpet. Too much of the carpet is exposed IMO. I will be going with Huskey LIners or a similar style that completly covers the floor for max protection. Ever since I started using Husky Liners on my 01 Dodge Ram the rugs have looked brand new when I have sold the trucks. They work great!

Ive got Huskyliners in my F-150. They work pretty slick and they trap the water/dirt to prevent the water from getting onto your carpet.

I bought floor mats before truck arrived

I'm getting the last of the 05 Tacomas, Acc Cab 4X4 pkg #3 SN silver next week. Got it for a song before the end of month. The last few cars I've owned have had Husky heavy duty liners or something close to them. They are custom molded and have a deep well around the sides. We ski every weekend in Maine during the winter, and up there they don't use sand for the roads, they use dirt which will stain anything. Worth the investment. After 3 years, the inside of my last car was spotless. Tip take out your new carpet mats and store them or sell them. you'll never use them again unless you plan to sell.

Agree. I live in NH and what they use on the roads in this area is a mix of sand and salt. It will destroy carpets in 1 season.

I also take the carpeted mats out and save them. Just put them in the Huskey Liner box and when I sell the truck I put them back in. Makes the truck look brand new with a 100% clean carpet and then the new factory floor mats.

Those don't appear to be the same ones. Might be same mfg but the ones you gave the link for are moulded carpeted mats. I believe the ones the other guy has are moulded rubber mats. I am after the all rubber ones. Thanks though.
They have 2 different kinds, ones that are rubber, but have carpet on the top, which are just the regular Catch-All floor mats. Then there are the ones like I have, which are the Catch-all Extreme.

Here's a couple links

If you order them make sure you read the small print, be sure that they are for an 05 tacoma.

Does anybody have the Husky Liner mats? How well do they fit? Does the edge of the liners go above the edge? Anyone have pictures?
I've got the Husky Liners in my Taco. The fit is excellent, although there are parts and certain areas I wish it had more coverage. There is a lip that's about 1/2-1" tall at the edges. They will not slide at all, unlike regular rubber or carpet mats. I have a set of Cannon/WeatherTech rubber mats in my Camry, it tends to slide around. The Husky liners got some very stiff and quite pointy spikes that hold it in place. I'll take some pics and post them. Overall, I'm very happy with Husky and I get them again in a heart beat. I was actually trying to find them for my Camry, but they only have truck, van and SUV applications, no cars.

Big E: are they the hard molded plastic ones with the x markings on top, or are they the flexible rubber mats with all the channels in them? I have had a set of each for previous trucks and want to know witch you have. Also could you tell me the model number incase I decide to order.

Thanks

BigE, thanks for your post. The only thing I was worried about was the lip of the mats being too high and going over the edge. Did you get the rear seat ones too? I have a DC and just ordered the lloyd mat for the rear seats. I'd like to see pics of the mats before I order them but I think it looks like I just might order them anyway.
