You can tell by the manufacture date. IIRC all the ones made after Dec. 2013 is a 2014.5. Also, this is not a for sure sign, as you can get it as an option in one of the packages, but all 2014.5 come with backup came standard. So if there is no back up cam don't even waste your time looking at it.

 

I believe it does say on the sticker too.

I'm almost certai back-up cameras were standard on the 2013 models. At least the 2013 LE's came with them here.

 

^^^ Nope. You needed to get one of the packages for it. There may have been some dealers or regions who installed them too so they came as standard then. I have a 2013 SE and no backup cam standard, I installed it myself.

Wrong. The dealership person is wrong. You were given bad info. There is a 2014, and in most places it has higher rebates than the 2014.5 model.

Mines 2014 not 2014.5. It was manufactured in 11/13. Any Camry with a manufacture date of 12/13> now is considered a 2014.5

What exactly are the differences between a 2014 and a 2014.5 Camry? I've heard that there are some structural changes in the driver's side front door, but that was the extent of the change. Can someone clarify this?

 

Easiest way to confirm that you have a 2014.5 is that all 2014.5 models have standard back up cameras. other than the sticker saying that its a 2014.5

I've heard from guys from the TMMK plant that there are some structural differences on the left side so that the 2014.5 would pass the new crash tests -- that being the case, can these be retrofitted on the 2014 base model?

The structural changes are due to the 2014's "poor" rating in the small-overlap frontal-offset test; 2014.5 improved to "acceptable".

There are definitely 2014 and 2014.5 models. I saw them side by side.
