01 Highlander heated seat problems

hello everyone. My wife drives an 01 Highlander and recently I replaced the entire AC system including the evaporator myself. So I had the dash out but not the seats. Anyways, ever since I put it back together the heated seats do not work. They worked fine before. The switches are located just above the shifter. Assuming I left the switches unplugged I went back and checked today. Both switches are plugged in and the seat symbol illuminates but the orange power button does not when you push the switch. Both seat switches do this. I checked every fuse under the dash and under hood with a test light and found nothing, I went ahead and replaced the relay as well and still nothing. The plugs to the switches have power going to them. Since there were no problems before I took it apart I don't believe the heating elements are bad. Everything else in the dash works fine. My thinking is that I left something unplugged that is not obvious. I was wondering if anyone might know what I'm missing before I start taking the dash back apart. Thanks in advance!

The illuminated switch shows as a simple SPST switch on the wiring diagram. However, it may not be.
The orange power indicator lamp in each switch is grounded through the center junction box behind the climate control. Try reseating those connectors, 3K and 3F connectors, white/black wires.
Double-check that you have sufficient voltage and low resistance in the green/black power wires for each switch socket. The fact that the indicator lamps do not illuminate is an indication that you may not have power. I would use an incandescent test light to put a load on the circuit from the green/black to ground, and use a voltmeter in parallel to make sure I am getting enough voltage with some load on the circuit.
Then I would try using a jumper from the Green/Black to the Green/White on the right-hand side to see if I get heat.
There is no common connector or conductor after the switches for the main heater current. The 3K, 3F, and ground IB are common on the indicator lamp side.

Thanks for the info. I will try that out and see what happens

Agreed, it does appear like there is a ground or connector that needs to be reseated.
Also, not intending to hijack this thread, but related to the switches...
Are the lights that illuminate the seat on the button able to be replaced? Both of mine are no longer lighting up.

Thanks for the info everyone. Got it figured out. Somehow a pin on each of the switches got bent down when reinstalling. Can’t believe I overlooked that when I tried to diagnose why the seats weren’t working but at least I don’t have to take the dash back apart haha.
