I have a 2002 Avalon and my reverse lights and the gear position lights on the dash will not work. Break lights are fine, running lights etc. At first I thought it had something to do with the fact that I was in the process of installing a back up camera, but we did not get that far into it when we had to pause installation. Both bulbs and fuses are fine and have been checked. There is not power running to the tail lights, as we did strip the wire to attempt to hook in the camera but wound up having to tape it up due to a time issue. Once it was buttoned back up, that's when we noticed an issue. The wire that runs along the trunk is cracked open but does not look broke, and I can't see that causing the dash position lights to stop as well. I did try searching the forums, but no luck. No codes also reported by the ECU. Any clues as to what is going on??
