I was wondering if anyone could tell me what are the best (easiest to install too) bucket seats for a 1993 standard cab Toyota pickup.

4runner SR5 Buckets hands down, take a look at my 150$ thread at the ones I picked up. All the bolt holes mactch up perfectly. You just need to supply a bolt and nut for the front right hole as it doesnt have one but thats no biggie. I've also been told Honda Del Sol seats work, Toyota Celica buckets as well and Some Saturn buckets but none of them look as good as the 4runner ones.

89 Toyota Celica

I just did mine this weekend, I'm not very automotive litterate at all, I still take my truck to the shop for an oil change, So they must not be to hard to install, allot of bending of the bracket, and because toyota didnt put a bolt on the back side of the upper inner sides (closest to the shifter) I only have 3 out of 4 bolts holding the seats in on each side. But I love them, they do lower you physically a little, but nice feel to them. Feels alot roomier.

I put in a split bench which is the same set up as buckets. I too ended up only putting three bolts in each seat. I had to drill holes for the inside bolts on both sides. There weren't any there because the truck had a bench seat originally.

Here what I did this weekend. 98 4runner buckets(I'm told) into my 94 standard cab. Fit like a glove. There was a hole under the carpet for the inner front bolt but no backer nut. I just used 12mm(I think) with a wedge grinded off on the grinder. Kinda like making a self tapping bolt. It work enough to keep it down and tight so the seats don't wobble on the other three bolt. It won't hold in a accident since it kinda like screwing into sheet metal but hopefully the other three bolt will hold if need be. I'm curious as to what others have done about puting in the backer nut since it is not accessible from underneath. I was thinking of cutting from the top to insert and weld the nut in but I decided that was not a good idea and frankly too much effort.

Not sure if anyone notice but I found a universal center console/arm rest at Wally for $27 that fit so perfectly that I swear it was made for it. Hell it even comes in blue to match my interior but they didn't have it in stock so I took the grey one to match my seats instead. The driver seat have lumbar support with two adjustments on the inside(can't see it in the picture) and the center piece leaves just enough room for it :) Cup holder is much better than the crap ass stock ones not to mention a huge compartment to keep all the junk in. Also a lot roomier now with the buckets:clap:
The seating height seem the same or slightly higher but definitely NOT lower. I would have prefered lower but heck can't have everything.
