1998 Camry transmission delayed upshift?

Got a 1998 Camry and the only way I can describe what's wrong is when accelerating from a dead stop, I press on the gas and it goes up to about 3k rpm then the rpm drops to about 1.5k-2k then back up. I attached a couple videos here. I think I had this problem before and if I remember correctly changing the tranny fluid fixed the problem. Right now the tranny fluid is brown with black residue. I'm changing it first thing tomorrow. Any ideas of what it could be if changing the tranny fluid doesn't work? Thanks in advance

That looks like just a close-up shot of the sensor body. Unless it says that it is a universal part without a plug you should be good to go. I bought genuine Denso sensors from Rock Auto for my van with Cali emissions, and for my Solara. They are performing as they should, no problems. Be careful with parts from the jungle site. I've heard a lot of stories about counterfeit parts being sold.

Don’t buy any critical parts from E-bay. The only thing they are good for automotive wise is cheap crap, Accessories and fake garbage. Buy genuine Denso from an established parts supplier, maybe even Denso themselves. You should be able to get one that has the correct length and plug. Might be a bit more expensive than your looking for, but thems the breaks.

Well things got worse. I changed the fluid and now it's slipping even more and it even stalled and died. Most times when I accelerate it wants to stall out. This all happens in first gear. Here's a video

am I screwed? Do I need a new transmission? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also just ordered the O2 sensor today and it'll be here monday.

So I'm just now learning that all of these problems could potentially be caused by a bad O2 sensor. If what I read is correct, and correct me if I'm wrong, a slipping transmission will not cause the engine to stall. What could be causing this is improper air to feel mixture, thus causing the engine to not get enough power and therefore stalling. And something tells me this could also cause transmission problems, like slipping. If the engine isn't producing enough power maybe enough power isn't being supplied to the transmission to cause proper shifting. Does this sound like I'm on the right track? This is what it sounds like to me but I could be wrong.

I had an 05 Avalon that sometimes had odd shifting pattern, including very delayed shifts. Using premium fuel killed the shifting problem, but that extra cost/gallon was nasty. Several years later the MAF failed, replacement MAF made whole thing smoother, better acceleration, blah blah. Tried a tank of regular gas, no shifting problems. My thinking similar to yours, car was running too lean, not producing the power output the transmission was expecting at given RPM.
