I have a 2001 corolla with 1ZZ-FE(Non VVT-i) engine.
It needs a new engine, but i couldn't find a 1ZZ-FE without VVTi.
I want to replace my engine with 1ZZ-FE(with VVTi).

Do i need also to replace engine ECM and Wiring or not?

Yes, the computer and wiring are different on vvti and non-vvti applications.

 

2003-2008 1zz has vvti. the 2005-2008 have dbw and the later have throttle

98-99 is non-vvti. 00+ is vvti.
