I want to change out the shift solenoids on my A541E as I’ve taken a lot of steps to remedy the hard 1-2, 2-1 shift issue I have, however everything I’ve done didn’t fix it. I changed out these parts (not all listed to save time):
I have flushed the trans 4 times with a filter replacement on the 4th drain and fill. I used Valvoline Multi-Vehicle MaxLife Full Syn ATF the entire way. No change.
Do I have to drop the valve body to change out the solenoids? Or can I change them out via pan drop? Thanks all.
- Rebuilt OEM CV axles
- New OEM Toyota TPS (tested with Multimeter)
- All new OEM Toyota engine mounts (even the engine shock/damper)
- Checked TV Cable tension via the FSM guide.
