Balance tires? Rims might not be 100% circular.

Try to make sure the PSI are the same and leveled out as well.

My 02 Camry V6 pulls to the left at speed. I have to pressure the steering wheel to the right to make it go straight, needless to say this is annoying! I had the wheels aligned but this did not fix it. Has anybody else had to fix this problem?

Take it back to the people who aligned it and tell them "It stills pulls to the left" Make them recheck it!!

Bad wheels or balance would just make it ride rough!

If its straight, def check the tire pressures especially in the front.

 

It is not a balance problem!:hammer: It could be alignment or a tire pressure problem or possible brake dragging though you should notice that at lower speeds to a certain extent.

You could also have a bad tire. I used to work in a tire shop and we also used to see it at the dealerships I have worked at a lot. IF there is a bad belt in your tire it can cause the tire to cause a pull. IF you take it back and they check the alignment and it still pulls after them saying everything is fine ask them to rotate the tires and try it then. You can jsut take the two front tires and swap them. If the pull switches sides then it is more than likely a tire. if it stays the same then you have an alignment problem.

The bad thing is the caster and camber, which cause pulling normally, are not really adjustable on a Camry. There are kits that can be installed to make them adjustable but they are not from teh factory.

 

just to sum up what others have said...

Check for equal tire pressure, equal treadwear, alignment, and balance if you feel the car vibrates at speeds of 50+mph.
Car pulling to one side does not indicate balance problem.

 

I've dealt with alignment idiots with my 02...I have to go back again and get it done as I get it pulling right at speed both with my summer and winter rims.

 

One other thing to keep in mind is that most manufacturers build a little bit of left hand pull into cars. They do this because of the crown in most roads. This crown automatically causes the car to pull to the right so they build some left hand pull into it to compensate. SInce not all roads ahve this crown sometimes the left hand pull is much more noticeable.

NOt saying this is your problem at all but something to keep in mind.

 

You could also have a bad tire.

Sometimes a good alighment, and a good rotation and balancing can lead to car being pulled to one side...its called radial pull. Unfortunately, its now always broken belts, nor alignment issues or balancing. Sure placing certain wheel in the rear is good until its time for a rotation. My last set on the camry were suffering from this. THANKFULLY, i got all 4 radians this past weekend and it feels great!
