remedy this problem...is it under warrenty still?

problem

Check whether a 2003 model includes an an extended powertrain warranty. I know my 2005 does, but I don't know when they started with that. Check the ATF fluid level with the trans fluid dipstick under the hood with the engine and trans warm, and the engine idling in Park. If fluid is low enough, that could be your problem. If it IS low, the other issue is: "Where did it go?" I'd start there.

Thanks...it should be under warrenty...the gentlemen next door is a mech.

toyota immed.....so we are taking it in the morning....

Well..Toyota called and stated it's a Rubber seal that has leaked and it's
located in center of transmisson and is under warrenty....so a transmission job that they estimate to be a few days on the replacing time estimate.
They did give her a 2008 loaner until job completed....Now the question ..how good is a new transmission and should she expect problems afterwards?
