Hello to all
I have a 2007 sequioa limited and it has a passenger side cv boot torn.
I searched the forum and have not found on how to replace the cv joint.
I appreciate it if anybody had done this and share your experience.
Also any recommendations on what is a good repair manual to get.
Thank to all...joejoe

Get it out of the knuckle, take a pry bar or something and pry it out of the transmission, slide the new one in the transmission then put the other end through the knuckle, reinstall the axle nut and make sure everything is working correctly.
Haynes has great manuals. As a mechanic I can say I’d replace both of them if you are able too because usually if one goes the other isn’t far behind.
The torque spec for the axle nuts should be around 217 foot pounds. Good luck on your project. Let me know if you need more help.

Can’t find any good videos but will continue searching. When you go to remove it get the axle nut to the end of the threads and hit it out with the nut still on with a soft faced hammer. You need to remove the axle nut first before doing anything else and if you don’t have power or air tools do it before you take the car off the ground.

Transmission fluid WILL NOT leak out when you change the CV axle. A little bit of gear oil may dribble out of the transfer case depending on how much is in there and how high you jack up that side, however. Good idea to do a drain/fill of the transfer case, and don't forget to install a new axle seal while you are in there, easy to do and less than 6 bucks.
