I need some advice as to the oem spoiler install. Do I need to remove any wax that might be on the trunk lid in order to make sure that the adhesive tape that comes with the spoilers tape adhers to the trunk lid solidly? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Automotive grade adhesive works best with a clean, un-treated surface.
When I had the Mustang, I added a GT500 rear spoiler. To prep, I washed, clayed, wiped the area down with rubbing alcohol.

easy. follow what magneticgrayse said. do that and you should be good. also you should worry about the adhesive tape. the spoiler itself will be held down by two bolts anyways so even if you have no adhesive there, the spoiler is still good.
I have an RKSport Spoiler... Do they not come with adhesives? I gotta drill in 4 bolts also... %^$#!!!
Since you have only one chance to drill holes correctly, make sure your template is where you need it to be and taped down so it can't move. If you don't have a template, make one from the spoiler itself.
Then, add some primer/antirust around the holes you just drilled so they won't rust out on you.
