I have a 2014.5 Camry, and the touch display on the radio no longer works. I've restarted it, and pulled out the fuses to try to reboot. Then, I uninstalled and reinstalled it, and it went through a complete reboot.
When I pulled the fuses (a couple of times) the touch screen worked for a little while, then would stop working. Same with the buttons - but they lasted a little longer.
After re-installation, the touch screen worked for a short time, then died again. But, the buttons now continue to work.
This is not a problem with screen calibration, where you can slide a credit card in to make contact. The whole touch screen stops working. I tried the credit card trick to determine what kind of failure.
Does anyone know how this can be fixed without replacing the unit?
According to the Toyota support sight, there is no software update available.
I have the JBL system without navigation.
I've scoured the internet and this forum but see no mention of this particular problem.
Thank you.
