Back in October 2009, I purchased my 2010 Venza V6 AWD. At the time, they were able to dealer trade for a model that had most of the features I wanted, but I wasn't able to get the upgraded sound system or nav system within my desired price range.
Anyway, I was at the dealer for an oil change today... one thing led to another and I traded for a 2014 XLE V6 AWD with everything I wanted the first time. I ended up lowering my payments by ~$80/month because I snagged a better rate through my credit union, but at the end of the day it was the most expensive oil change I've ever had lol.
I thought I'd post my first impressions of the 2014 in case anyone was interested. Really, the only difference I can mention after a whopping 50 miles on the new car is that the steering seems a little "looser". It still handles as well as the '10 (which I thought was good), just a different feel. I also noticed that my instant fuel economy was ~5-7 mpg better on the '14 than the '10.
The dash, instruments and controls are unchanged (other than the nav screen). The phone compatibility is also much improved... after syncing my iphone 5, I can upload my contact list to the car and select a name via the Venza. For any iphone owners, it's a lot like Siri but it's accessed via the steering wheel controls. You can also select songs by name (from your phone) and play via bluetooth.
If anyone has any questions about the 2014 Venza, I'll be happy to answer.
