2015 V6 AWD posible transmission issue?

New to me a 2015 awd v6 with 46,000 miles in it. Base on the Toyota owners dashboard the differentials fluid have been change a few years ago. The issue I have is that sometimes when I shift from Park to Drive it takes a second or 2 to engage into drive. Don’t know if it’s normal or I’m being impatient. But any car that I have had have done this, my Lexus gs does not do this. Is this normal for this venzas? Thanks in advance.

I don't think that is normal. Since it's 9-years old, probably due to have the transmission fluid changed out, anyhow. My dealer charges around $310 for this....should be done about every 5-years or 50,000 miles...whichever comes first. (There's no such thing as "lifetime" fluid.)

With only 46,000 miles it doesn't need a transmission fluid change yet. But it may have been done anyway and not filled correctly.

Or it may be normal. For example, my Camry has no delays changing gears. But my F-150 delays a second when you go from Drive to Reverse, it's been doing since new. My Dad has an old Ford Ranger and it has the same delay, again since new. It's a Ford thing.

With only 46,000 miles it doesn't need a transmission fluid change yet. But it may have been done anyway and not filled correctly.
The manual says to replace automatic transmission fluid every 72 months/96,000km. And:
"The scheduled maintenance is determined by the odometer reading or the time interval, whichever comes first."

So, the maintenance is overdue if it were not done yet. However, slow shifting wouldn't be anticipated simply due to old fluid, but incorrect fluid level definitely could cause such an issue.

So the dealer flushed the fluid, transmission reseted to default, problem persists. Was advised to drive for a while for the computer to learn and if it continues bring it back. They mention something about selenoinds and what not. Could selenoids be causing this? Are they external or internal in the transmission? Thanks in advance.

Yes, solenoids could cause this. "Sticky" solenoids will delay sending fluid and delay pressure buildup of the appropriate brakes / clutches to engage specific gears. They are external in the sense that you don't need to dismantle the entire transmission to reach them, but it's a major operation. Most likely you will need to replace the complete valve body. You may try to replace a specific solenoid assembly, but if one is failing, odds are another one will follow soon and you will have to do another intervention.
If you do, make sure to use either new OEM or factory-rebuilt one (don't buy cheap-er knock-off from Amazon or eBay - you will spend more money on labor redoing the job again and again than what you will save on parts).
The Transmission Valve Body Assembly is part #35410-33122, MSRP $1,634.
Individual valve assemblies vary from couple hundred to four hundred (Search Toyota Parts and Accessories)
Labor will be a few hundred.

Fluid is been flushed at the dealer and the trans computer reset it, but the problem persists. Now i noticed that sometimes around 30mph it shifts hard like if it’s downshifting.

No need, normally. Filter is just a mesh screen. It is replaced if there was damage.

Also, it is typically pricey, and dropping the trans pan to access it can run into issues with rusted, stripped, or broken bolts. It opens up a whole new can of worms for little to no benefit.
