Hey, I was wondering if the 2016 Avalon Led headlights would fit a 2013 Avalon Limited w/ HID.

I know the LED headlights are the latest cool thing, but the Limited's HID's are the best headlights I have experienced. I am not sure how and if LEDs would be any better than the stock HIDs. IMHO, this is not an attribute of the Limited that needs improvement.

Hi,

I just bought 2015 Toyota Avalon Limited which comes with HID quadro beam. I was wondering if I can upgrade to LED, just like the 2016 Avalon Limited. I mean if they would fit/is the same? If not, any after market suggestion?

Thanks!
I don't get it.

You want to scrap the HID for LED?

The LTD 2012-15 has the best headlights I have ever seen and the auto HIGH beams is great.
I don't get it.

So after researching and a bit of eyeballing this a bit. The LED headlights can bolt up to the 13-15 but modification to the wire harness is going to be required.

There's 2 listings currently on eBay for the LED passenger side(why is it always the passenger side?) headlight if anyone wants to take a crack at it.

I also eyeballed the headlights on ebay. If you look at the HID lights, there are 4 wire points. Low beam, high beam, headlight leveler and LED DRL.....The 2016 avalon LED headlights have 3. If the wiring is similar than the inner wire plug should be the DRL, middle is the Leveler and im assuming the outer plug runs the headlights Low beam and high beam? Or it could be the inner plug runs brights and DRL since its a 3wire system. The outer plug looks like 5 wires, theres just too many more wires then what is on our cars now, could be a very big project.

Guys,

Could anybody please confirm that benders also must be replaced to fit new LED headlights? I was thinking too long about HID upgrade for my Avalon 2014 with halogens, but after recent fender-bender I'm going to either fix or replace bumper/grille, so I started to think if I can also upgrade headlights and get nice LED headlight and DRL. I understand that wiring may be issue but I hope that would not be issue for me.

i agree with the XLE halogens i have some silvania Ultras in my wifey XLE and shes happy with how much brighter they are. Shes not so much into color. I also am curious about these new LED lights and in my experience with headlight assemblies, I would wait a bit. I have a body shop so im very familiar with how aftermarket companies make headlight assemblies.

Example: HID headlight assemblies always cost a ton of cash, and good luck finding them being sold or even made by aftermarket companies. LED's on the other hand are pretty cheap and aftermarket companies do make them. When the corollas came out i was thinking it would cost alot to repair the affordable corollas, but I was wrong. These aftermarket guys sell the corolla LED headlights so cheap now. It didnt take long before they started producing them neither. So im gonna wait a bit till the aftermarket world start selling the avalon LED headlights and ill buy some just so I can do a swap and I will let you guys know how it goes.

I know this thread is old but im very much interested in upgrading my 14 limited head lamps to the 16 full led head lamps. have you been able to do the swap? if you have, please update us with pics.

here is my take, they are a direct fit, infact they are so much a direct fit that there are 16-17 limiteds that come with the 13-15 limited led head lamps, thats a clear indication that they are a direct fit but i am really confused as to why some come with the older head lamps, is there something im missing? is there a different type of limited that comes with the newer full led headlamps?

i have attached a picture of a 17 avy with 13-15 headlamps.

The 2013-2015 Avalon Limited trim have HID low beams and LED DRL. The 2016-present (after mid cycle refresh) Avalon Limited also have HID low beams and LED DRL just like before. What has changed as part of the 2016+ mid cycle refresh is the Avalon Touring trim now has a new headlight: LED low beams and LED DRL. The LED DRL on the Touring is different from that of the Limited in that it's a double arc per side instead of single side.

Nice, welcome to the club, hope you’re enjoying the super bright lights as I am. I really surprised there hasn’t been enough amplification of how much bright the touring headlamps are compared to the HID version. Infact I’ve read a thread in the past where someone claimed the HID was still the brightest of all the headlamps for the 5th Gen Avi..
