2016 Highlander Windshield Washer Leaking_ How difficult to R&R

Well I just sold my Chrysler Pacifica w/ 350,000 miles. Bought a used 16 Highlander from the Lexus dealer, what could go wrong? Well I went to top off the windshield washer fluid and it all dumped right out on the ground. We had a 15 deg F freeze that may have cracked the washer reservoir, who knows. Anybody have any experience R&R that washer tank? Remove front wheel well or get it from under the hood? Front washer washing fine, rear washer making motor noise but not washing. Any suggestions?

Well I went ahead and R&R'd the washer reservoir to install a fiberglass patch on a crack. Was not too difficult, simply remove wheel and take down plastic liner in wheel well. Only thing w/ the liner new to me was the extensive use of Toyota OEM plastic blind rivets holding liner in place, a check of the local auto parts store did not provide an easy replacement. Three (3) 10mm bolts hold the tank in, not too bad to get to using a 1/4" ratchet. Washer pump pulls out easily via large grommet.

New fiberglass patch on washer reservoir holding very well.
Only remaining issue is the water hose going to the rear window washer. Hose was cut, about 4 feet from the tank, up under the right fender. I will need to fish the hose out from somewhere and reconnect it. Does anyone have knowledge of the rear washer hose route?

Just another note to anyone needing to pull the wheel liners on any Highlander, those plastic parts & pieces are held in place with polyoxymethylene (POM) rivets. Found an economical POM rivet kit w/ gun @ Harbor Freight, 7 in. Poly Hand Riveter Kit .

Regarding the routing of that hose, at the local Toyota body shop I found a tore down Highlander, the rear washer hose takes a hard turn under the "panel under the front wipers", will pull that panel later this week to see if I can find the severed end for re-connection.

Update: 23-Mar-2021 , Pulled the top plastic panel over front windshield wiper assy, then pulled steel panel containing fr windshield wiper assy, found both ends of rear washer hoses, spliced rubber hoses together, rear washer now working perfect. Pulling 2 aforementioned panels very easy & straightforward.
