I recently switched from 2019 Avalon Limited to a 2021 Avalon Touring and the only thing I didn’t like is the ESE (Engine Sound Enhancement) i.e, Fake sporty sound from the front speakers.

I had Carista OBD device which I used to turned off the front seat belt chime for my 2019 Avalon.

I used the same device to turn off the ESE and ANC on my 2021 Avalon. Now it is all pure engine/exhaust sound and it is super quite now.

Just wanted to share it so maybe others will benefit from it. If they wish to turn off the ESE.

This is intriguing. Thanks for the info. However, I was checking out the Carista website and the only thing it lists that you can modify under Engine/Chasis is body pitch. Your post is recent so perhaps their website is just wrong. The device is pretty cheap so maybe worth a shot. I have no desire for fake engine noise. One of the main draws of this vehicle for me over my V6 Camry it is replacing is the quieter cabin.
