2021 Used Venza Purchase Concern

Hey all,

Found a low mileage beautiful CPO limited venza. Couldn't be more excited about owning a car like this.

I had a sonata hybrid prior to this, so I consider myself a decent hybrid driver. So far, getting about 46mpg for my combined driving.

My ONE question/concern. When the vehicle is exiting or entering EV mode, I sometimes get a little bit of shimmy or vibration as the engine engages or disengages. It's really not bad, but if yalls experience is much different than this, I'll bring it in to get looked at in case the prior owner was driving it too hard and wore something out (they were averaging 38 mpg).

Thanks!

I would make sure to schedule it.. I can say with the 3 Toyota hybrids we have owned the transition is pretty much, except for the audible sound, smooth with no real feal
of any vibration at all. This would be on a '21 Venza, '20 Rav4 hybrid, and a '23 Cross hybrid.
It's not normal to me and would take advantage of the powertrain warranty and fight for it to get corrected. Service may claim it's normal because it could be potentially labor intensive. Good luck and please update.

I can feel the transition on my '21 but it's pretty smooth

I've settled into 44.8 mpg indicated after 2.5 years and ~12K miles under ideal conditions.

46 is really good. I'd have to drive ultra-conservatively to achieve that. Not even sure I could.
I'd call mine smooth as well, I'm probably just being sensitive because of the below avg MPG from the prior owner.

The engine is honestly amazing. Had a good bit of weight packed in the other day for some hilly highway driving and wasn't cautious on the accelerator. It handled with ease!

I hope you paid a fair price since used Toyotas are very overpriced right now
