It’s optional on the Camry XSE

and the 2023 Corolla does not list navigation system on the XSE either

and the dynamic nav system was optional on the 2022 Corolla XSE

 

Are they assuming most drivers will use the Android Auto/Apple Car Play to do that function?

Yes, I wouldn't use Toyota's nav even if my car had it.

 

The Toyota NAV isn’t that bad for major destinations tbh (I wouldn’t use it for random locations in the boonies). It’s nice if you have the HUD option because the directions appear there too.

Just spend $70 and get a Motorola MA1 or a Carlinkit and anytime you want to use Navigation you press "MAP" and it turns right and you can use the navigation app of ur choice. Its worth it so you dont have to keep plugging your phone in. I have the Motorola MA1 in my 2023 XSE and it has worked great.

 

Can you tell me any other requirements or were to get more info? I have a 2019 Camry and there doesn't seem to be anything that will work. On Motorola's web site it says that it needs "car's existing Android Auto-enabled USB port" I do have a USB port and the factory Nav system.
Any help would be appreciated.

Toyota's navigation on the current Camry is pretty bad. Most mainstream cars with factory navigation are pretty inferior.
Using the Carplay/Android Auto connection for navigation through your phone generally is vastly superior to most mainstream navigation systems.

Looking at how much Toyota charges for the navigation package in the Camry... I can't help but laugh. $1700 for pretty outdated navigation (that you have to pay to keep updated after three years... along with a pretty lousy (for the price) JBL system.
