Have a 96 Camry 4 Banger, we just did a Timiing and new belts and fixed oil pump leak, and the Alternator connector into back of a Alternator broke into pieces. We can get a good connection and shrink wrap to protect them,
but I need to know which colors go to front middle and back of connector, standing at front of engine. We know the middle wire is the two color red/green one, just need the front and back colors.
The other two are white and yellow.
The Haynes manual has an electric diagram but doesn't help.

Hi,

I am having the same problem on my 95 Toyota Camry (2.2L, 4 cylinder). My wires are yellow, pink, and white. Based on how easily the wires align themselves, my guess for the correct order is:

Looking from top: Yellow, Pink, White
Looking from front: White, Pink, Yellow

Here are two videos I made today as I was trying to connect the alternator back in:

General Description:
Wiring Order Guess:

Could somebody please confirm if I have the right order? What would happen if I have the wrong order, and I tried to start my car? Would it do any damage?

I have disconnected my battery at the moment to go get it recharged. Once I get it back, I will try to start my car again.

I really appreciate any help or information... TIA!
