Has anyone done this? The instructions from the manuals page isn't very clear. I put new bulbs in a while ago and they shine like brights...I'm guessing they're pointed up too high. I messed around with shining them up against a wall and moved the adjustment screw both all the way out and all the way in with all other lights covered and still couldn't tell if anything changed....any ideas or where that screw should be to have them adjusted down?

Thanks

It is the screw in the center back botom area of the fog light housing. It is actually very easy to remove the entire housing. around that screw is a plastic retaining thing that you squeeze together with pliers and there are tow tappered stubs that stick out of the side of the housing into the bumper cover. The ones towards the center of the truck on both sides are easy to pop out with your fingers. the ones of the outside require a little more tweaking. You can stick something in from the front that will not scratch the paint, but is strong enough to push in the tab.

This also makes it much easier to replace the bulbs without getting any dirt on them

I've messed with this again today and still can't figure it out

From that thread.....:

"The adjustment screw does not need to touched. There will be a white bushing/guide for adjustment screw on the bumper still. That needs to removed and inserted on the fog lamp housing adjustment screw for inserting the fog lamp housing back in the bumper. It is difficult to align the adjustment screw on the fog lamp housing with the white bushing/guide on the bumper."

I don't really follow that.

Here's a pic of what I have..off an 06. Looks a little different than the pics in the other thread. Turning it doesn't seem to matter it..it sits somewhat loose to begin with in the bumper. And the screw with the white thing on it moves up and down as well a small amount.

I think you need to install the fog light back in the bumper. Then use a screw driver to work like a gear against that white plastic peice with the "teeth". It works just like the headlights. A #2 phillips screw driver meshes with the gear and it makes the screw turn which should push or pull the bottom of the fog light, which would raise or lower it.
