They're out there, but not as common as the wagon version, which is pretty rare too.

 

Hmm... a 3sgte in there sure would make a neat rally car lol

 

It'd also be a pain in the ass to figure out the transmission/drivetrain.

Its Serious. There were AE101 All-trac's too... VERY Rare to get one of them tho...

 

I considered buying an AE92 ALL-TRAC sedan that an old member put up for sale here last year.. He had done a 4AGE top end with the 4AFE bottom end so he could retain the AWD system... I think he ended up keeping it.

the one thing about the awd trannies is they arent that good past like 200 hp the arent very strong

 

200 hp! in a rolla ..i think most people would be happy with that...

they are really bad probally less than 200 hp if i were to do an awd conversion i would look at celica gt4 parts more not even worth it for the awd sr5 stuff

 

Celic parts are a top ideal but prob wont fit....(the centre diff) and torqe has a lot to do with it....most 20v owners love the performance ,so in the alltrax to allow for the extra weight you only need a mild tune or a set of cams ..etc..
For my money if a high hp app is needed i would drive it as smooth as a baby butt or just get custom gearing made up were nessisary..
REally at the end of the day is you want that much power from a rolla buy a gt4 stock..lol

Also try betting an altrx stock in the wet .....up to legal limits anyway..it'll kill ya
I have no prob killing!! v8 commodores(pontiac gto new) in the wet up to 100k's 65 mph

Try thr twisty stuff .....they kill most cars stock hands down..(with wheel/tire mods)

The Celica GT4 and the regular Celicas are 2 totally different machines.. the body is the same but the underbody on the Celica is totally different as it has a lot of strengthening and different suspension. Trust me dude, even the Celica guys would laugh at you if you said you were going to convert a regular Celica to a GT4, you're better off doing a Half-Trac conversion.. Celica GTS with 3SGTE and FWD.

 

lol i know but im just saying that it would be ideal to use the gt4 parts vs the awd sr5 parts this discussion came up a while ago on club4ag
