Same Problem




I have a 2003 and live in Alaska. I actually had this problem the other day and used the same fix. I have no idea why it does that but turning off the car worked. I know that didn't answer your question but it always helps to know you're not alone.

 

Exact same thing happened to my 2002 AWD this morning, when the morning temp was 11F, and I think it's happened once before with the dealer not able to find anything. I searched and found this:

Scroll down to "Accessories" under the "2002 Toyota Highlander Reliability Rating" section.

Though when I look at Toyota parts websites, there is no Center Air Bag Sensor listed, there are only front left and front right sensors for about $50 each.

 

Same thing here, only comes on when it is really cold.
