Need to replace driver side window regulator. Aisin or Dorman?

I have to respectfully disagree. It really depends on the part.

I won't say that for something as trivial as a window regulator that Aisin would not be preferable, but I've used plenty of Dorman plastic/nylon pieces that performed precisely as the OEM part did (that is, lasting years).

For this job, and given that the price differential is not likely to be much, and Aisin is OEM, I'd go with Aisin.

Yep.
Sometimes, especially on older cars, it's all that's available.
It's hard to screw up nylon washers and body clips and such, but anything that has a cast alloy part, every time I've used them I've either had to ******* engineer something to make it fit... or the thing just hasn't lasted.
