Just replaced the radiator on my 99 Camry 4 cyl. At 182,000. Inadvertently used peak full strength antifreeze instead of the norm of a 50/50 mix. Was recently adding a 50/50 mix lately because it was losing water. Found out that the problem(s) was a thermostat that had no jiggle valve or purge hole whatsoever and a bad radiator cap that upon changing put pressure back in the system and disclosed a hairline leak on top portion of radiator. That answered my question of why the car gurgled at times at shut off and temperature slightly rising under a load going up steep highway inclines and the loss of coolant was because it steamed the coolant away. ( I think).
Anyway living in the desert, should I worry about the full strength coolant? Only drained the radiator with no flush of entire system. Tested it on the highway inclines and even let it sit at idle for a while and temperature didn't budge. Made sure I put new thermostat with jiggle valve at 12:00 position.
Thank you for any answers or comments
