Any benefits to supercharging and adding Toyo Proxes R888R's???

Other than the obvious question of HP gains vs. return on investment is it fools gold to supercharge a 132HP motor and then slap super sticky tires on the car? Chances are I will get beat by most naturally aspirated stock vehicles on the road as it is, isn't that correct? I'm not planning on tracking my car but rather looking for a high performance street car. I'd be better off starting with something much more more potent it would seem to me? Or is a Corolla S Manual a super lightweight performance machine in disguise? Any valid opinions/arguments would be appreciated........

1) I imagine I would have to run super unleaded for sure. I have not seen numbers as I am a novice to Japanese compact cars and performance modifications.
2) Diff ratio is whatever came from the factory on 2016 Toyota Corolla S molds with 6-Speed Transmissions.
3) 38K Miles on the car.
4) I had a SC C5 Corvette and absolutely loved the SC whine so that is no issue whatsoever.

Those are great tires but kind of a waste unless you are putting it on a track. If you are really pushing it hard enough to matter you'll be breaking the law for sure. Also be very careful in the rain.

They work best with some negative camber and remember not to let them get too far below freezing or they will be permanently damaged. I think 15F is the recommended minimum.

My personal preference for a fun street only car is something with treadwear of 200, but that's just my opinion. I have used the r888r on the street but only as necessary to get to events.

If you could get away with it, why not?

The way to go is turbo. I haven't seen an sc kit for the 11th gen yet. Would be pricey, but, if there's a 9th gen SC available, it's possible to modify the flange to fit the intake runners.

Not too many complete kits new anymore. You'd get a used one and then run the trd piggy back ECU or standalone.

The belt would be a challenge.

Alternatively, you could try to also source one from the lotus Elise 2zz.

I had Nitto 555R Drag Radials on my C5 and they were an absolutely outstanding tire. Awesome dry traction and could be driven in the rain without issue. Maybe it was the nature of the handling characteristics of the C5 that gave me such confidence however as a high performance everyday tire, they were the best I've ever had.

You would be better off just turbocharging it with the kit form Turbokits for the 10th Gen Corolla. It will bolt right on and work perfectly. The only difference would be some additional intercooler tubing for the longer nose on the 11th Gen. I'm running 8.6psi maximum right now for 230 crank HP and 195WHP. My Corolla is very quick and hauls ass when I put my foot into it.

Thanks, I sure love how it has come out. TBH, it's even better than what I had pictured. When I had it tuned I had it tuned using premium 92 octane. Any boosted car should run premium fuel to prevent detonation.
