A little more information would be helpful...does it occur only at 40mph, can we rule out road conditions, does it sound like its mechanical or intermittent...

 

lol sorry .. its around 25-45 only when driving any road.. ( so far today ) never heard it before today .. radio off and blower off can hear it .. somewhere between the two glove boxes.. yard guys were near vehicle today so maybe something got blown in the car from the front wiper motor area.. but cant see anything .. blower looks fine and so does cabin air filter.. so i dont know.. if i cant find it by end of week this car is gone ..
only have 6k miles on it .

Although this is probably not the case here, some sounds are hard to isolate for exact location. My driver-side sunshade (above) wasn't totally attached and the vibes it gave off -- and the "noise location" -- was frustrating. Sounded like it was coming from behind the radio. Anyway........

Lol its just faint but can be drownded out with radio on 14 !!!!!! Yeh this is my 17th toyota dad owns the lexus/toyota store here!!! Just getting tired of the same old shit!!! Ready for ft-86, fr-s and gs-f to arrive will have better choices

Join the team, I have had rattles since day one, some were fixed, some weren't . I got tired going to the dealer so I live with it now. other than that, the car is going ok.

could be a loose screw or a washer somewhere...I was gonna say loose change like I hear on mine but I rule that out for yours lol...

The lower glove box is very easy to remove, take a look & see if something is obvious. You could also have someone sit in the passenger seat & listen to better locate the sound.

Every car forum has people complaining of rattles, you just always hope that you get a decently quiet car without rattles but most can be located & fixed. :thumbsup:

Could it be from underneath the car? I have a couple clips missing on a plastic panel under the car which is underneath the glove box, causing a rattle that would be heard in that area.

 

I thought my rattle was from the dash and it was the throttle body spacer, is it when moving or sitting still? accelerating, braking or coasting?

 

Yeh we cant find it!!!! Nothing loose underneath and only hear it when driving 30-50 mph sounds like its behind the top glove box !! Metal sound

 

dad owns the toyota/lexus and you drive a corolla. dad must be pissed at you

 

I can afford to buy a Lexus or any Toyota but I still bought a Corolla & I love it! No need to waste more money when my car handles great & has more room in it than the IS250/350 that I test drove. :thumbsup: And to me the lines of the 2 cars are very similar.
