I want to replace the stock fog light bulbs in my 2008 corolla. I didn't want to spend much money so I won't go with a HID kit. I just want a simple bulb replacement. Does anyone use Sylvania 9006CB Cool Blue Halogen bulbs in their fogs? If so tell me how long will they last? And also do they run hotter then the stock bulbs? Is there any chance they will run so hot that they can melt or damage the wiring in the fog light housing?

they shouldn't burn that hot, just don't touch the bulb with bare hands, the oils on your skin can cause that spot to burn hotter. I went with sylvania 9006 silverstar ultras and they're great

I have found with my fogs that they are more for looks than function. They are not that bright, and I hardly use them. I would go with the cheapest 9006 bulbs you can find and avoid blue tinted lights. Are your stock bulbs not bright enough?

Mike why did you say avoid blue tinted lights, which the 9006CB are? What's your reason? Basically my only concern if I use them is will they be so hot that they melt the wire or the housing of the fogs?
