Hey Everyone,

After about a month of snooping on the internet searching for this, I stumbled upon some mirrors on AliExpress. I wanted to know what you guys think about the mirrors in the link below. The mirrors are fully motorized and include a replacement switch that includes the folding button. I think this kit also includes the module that allows the mirrors to unfold when the car is unlocked or turned on. Mirrors also fold closed when car is locked or something along those lines. All the information is posted in the description in the link.

The mirrors are similar to the ones on the scion im but fit all the newer corolla models. Would be awesome if some kits were made more accessible here in the US but for now that is all I could find for power folding mirrors. And one of my concerns is if I can trust buying from AliExpress.

*(only downside, shipping is like $100)

AND...

Something that is compatable with all Corolla "S" side mirrors are led turn signals with running lights, and a courtesy light that turns on when car is initially unlocked. link will be below. These LEDs replace the fixture in your side mirrors. Also let me know what you guys think about these. At least with these, if you do some research, you'll be able to find them on other sites.

Let me know what you guys think of both of these products, and if they seem legit or not. Maybe this has sparked some ideas for some of you. I know it has for me.

I've never liked how cars for different markets have different options available. I think a lot of the options available overseas might be popular here. For example, on the newer of my two euro sedans, the folding side-view mirrors were only available the first model year of the prior generation, then they disappeared. Other features that would have been great here were rear climate controls on the back of the center console, heated rear seats, and a warm air recirculate feature (which would use heat from the engine to keep the car warm when it was off, for up to 30 mins, on a cold day).

You might be able to use a unit from a Lexus is250 or 350. The only issue I see is whether the housing are identical in size to mount to the door.

For power, you'll need 12v, ground, and constant 12v. Might be a good idea to use a relay. The puddle light feature and folding feature will need to be tied into the keyless entry.

Another alternative would be to use a combination of the 2 mirrors to make 1.

I’d like to do this mod on our 14’ Eco premium.
That's pretty cool.
