I think both are beautiful colors to start. My experience with all of the many colors of cars I have owned/maintained is that the dark colors (Black/Red/Green/Blue) are difficult to keep the paint nice. Dirt shows quickly and hard as you can, it's nearly impossible to avoid visible swirl marks.
Lighter colors of same and brown/silver/grey tend to look cleaner longer and show the slight swirl/scratches, less.
At my age now it's time and money to maintain the cars. I have given in to a full detail by myself. I also do (INTERIOR) have trouble keeping the blond/sand/cream color interior to keep clean. Black seems simple, but I hate the heat absorbtion. The blue/greay seems the best color for me.
My current TAH is Champagne Mica and Sand(interior)
I do an annual pro Detail and it keeps up.
