I just had a B&W trailer hitch installed on my 2024 RAV4. Uhaul did the install and recommended the hitch type. The height of the hitch seems very low. I'm afraid it may drag in places. Has anyone had any experience with this?

Yes, all the after market brands I've seen are about the same. The hitches done by a Toyota dealer are higher. I think they replace the rear bumper to do so. This is much more expensive.
Yes, that's true. It's about 1 inch lower than the tail pipes, and 9 inches of clearance to the ground. I just was hoping for some feedback from others who have a similar hitch.
We have the Curt hitch which looks the same as this one. It's been on for a year and a half and so far it hasn't bottomed out on anything. That is including steep drive ways and some fairly rough dirt trails....but nothing crazy.
We do keep it in mind when driving though. Try not to let the rear end bounce down and approach steep driveway entrances at a bit of an angle.
Added a Towing Package to our 2021 RAV4 Hybrid. I wouldn't even consider anything but the Toyota OEM hitch. Higher, stronger, and it replaces the hidden bumper behind the thin plastic cover that cuts easily.
