Blind spot monitor doesn't show "on" or "off"

Its really frustrating. I found that thread and reached out to that user. Fingers crossed I have the same luck.
UPDATE - took my vehicle to the dealer - turns out 'something' (a mouse ?) chewed through the wires. They replaced the wires and connection and BSM works now. Strange they were able to certify the vehicle with this issue. Hopefully everything on the vehicle was actually checked...
