Bluetooth Phone Connection Shows Phone Call Still Active Even Though I Have Hung Up

I recently updated my phone to a Google Pixel 6, running Android v. 12. (I have a Highlander Hybrid with the 8-inch screen.) Issue I now have is that Bluetooth Phone Connection shows that a phone call is still "Active", even though I have hung up. Boxes on screen and dash display to End Call don't work. I saw that many users on a Toyota Rav 4 forum with Samsung and Google Pixel phones running Android v. 12 are having this issue, and none of the usual recommendations (power off phone, power off car radio, update Toyota app, update Android app, disable certain Bluetooth settings, resetting radio by Toyota dealer, etc.) can resolve this issue. As common sense would indicate, its either the Toyota app (more likely) or something in Android 12 with Bluetooth. Note that with my prior phone (Moto G8) running an earlier edition of Android there was no such problem. Right now, only way to resolve this is either one phone call per trip each time my Highlander is started, or to remove phone from Bluetooth entirely (but hands free required in my state.) Some of the Rav users indicate that using Android Auto via cable connection also avoids this issue. Anyone else having this issue, and more importantly - any solution?

How did you reboot the radio? Hold the pwr button down?

For another datapoint, I experienced this too.
Pixel6 Pro (android12) with my HiHy2022 LE.

Infact, made a second call (via the phone) and it still said i was talking on the first, though the integrated speakers/mic was working. So dumb...

Well, I have a different but similar problem in that it's the radio and phone situation. I've used Mapquest for more years than I can remember. I've always been happy with the results when I'm in an unfamiliar metropolitan area with lots of traffic. However, during the past few months, I'm having problems. I've removed the app from the phone and reopened it, but nothing helps - I can't hear the navigation through the Rav4 radio. I know it's an "old" car but I only have 32,000 miles on it. And the iPhone is an 11S, but it's also paid for!! I've spoken with Google and with an wonderful patient Apple support person, but there is no answer. I will have to use Apple Maps from now on. Anyone else have an issue like this?

I see most of the posts are from Google phone users. I have the iPhone 11s and I just paid it off! I've removed and reinstalled Mapquest three times. I also found entune in Apple apps so I downloaded it?? I have no idea what that did for me. Mapquest works, but I'm not getting any sound from the radio like I did for the first 5 years. Yes, the Rav4 2017 I drive is paid off and has under 32,000 miles on it, so I'm not going to replace either one. If I lived in California, their AG would be all over this, I'd bet. I'm madder than a hornet.
