Breaks Shrieking!

My brakes have been really making an awful shriek when applying slower light breaking preassure, like backing out of my driveway. It happens the worst in the early mornings if it has been left outside and their is moisture from dew etc in the air, and especially if it has rained. Is this a result of needing replacement or what do you think. Only 38k miles on the truck.

I only bought the truck with 30k miles on it and it didn't do this when I bought it and not for about a month later until one day it was raining out. I will give a dealer a call, but I don't anticipate them being overly cooperative and giving me a goodwill, since it is out of warranty and I bought the truck in the U.S. and am now in Canada. Really annoying though.

What condition where the rotors in when you bought it used, and what condidion are they in now?

Im close to 36K and both of my rotors have quite a few chips and gouges but they don't make any noise.

PGDriver.... do you remember what the Canadian TSB # is ???? Toyota keeps giving me the run around on this so I need to lay down some paper!

Thanks PGDriver. I am dealing with Kelowna Toyota. They were really cool about the rear spring TSB. Parts ordered right away..in and out. I have been in a couple of times now bitching about the shrieking brakes every morning and my extended cranking/ no start issue which occurs at least once a week. I'm getting tired of the constant bs. I'm not sure if they are playing dumb or just really are?! Service told me that all their vehicles shriek when you reverse in the morning!!!!WTF! Why doesn't Toyota readily acknowledge a TSB issue if a customer complains directly about it??!! This is poor customer service! PGDriver, Any chance you have a link to a copy of TSB 2824 which I could print out? so I have in hand. Can you give me the old part numbers and also the new,...so I can reference and make sure the job is done right!! I know there is one for the "no start" and have found the US version EG011-07 but am still looking for the CDN version/#...if there is one????anyone?

The TSB number is 2824 here in Canada.
I couldn't find a copy online but the dealer just goes into their database and can pull it up in 5 seconds.
The new part number on the rotors they put on is 43512-04052.
The previous part number on the old rotors they list as 43512-04051.
Had mine done last year and the squeak was instantly gone and never came back.

If you get really stuck PM me with a fax number and I can send you a copy of it.
I asked the dealer to give me a copy just for this type of situation someone else migh be having.
Don't know what the deal is...some dealers are just total ass clowns.
When I went to my dealer and asked them about it he pulled it up right away and ordred the parts right then....so no reason other dealers can get their shit together and take care of these types problems.

Update........Thanks guys for your help and input. They did the TSB and now...... sweet silence when backing out of the driveway! They also told me they ordered me a new clutch pedal as they finally heard the creaking I had been bitching about for the last few weeks!

Cheers
