I am going to go look at a 1993 Toyota Camry SE V6. 5spd Manual
82,500 miles. A/C, Cruise Control, Power Locks, Power Steering, Bucket Seats, Leather Interior, Airbag: Driver, Fog Lights, CD Player, Power Windows, Rear window defroster, Tinted Glass, Alloy wheels, sunroof/moonroof.
Being sold by a private person, not a dealer

What do you think a good price for this car is ? (yes i have checked KBB, but i want real people's opinions).
What should i look for when checking out the car?
Where can I find a template for a private car sale contract. (I am not going to have all the money right away, so i want to give a down payment and pay the rest within a week or two)?

Thank you,

Boris.

call around locally, there should be shops that help in transfering car titles, registration, etc..they usually have templates for the bill of sale or any agreement that you might seek.

The pricing..i'd say anywhere from 4000+ to where you think you wnat to buy this baby.

Things to look for:
1. Maint. receipts (if you don't have access to them, ask the seller as to where he maintainted it and see if you can get his vin and his written approval to visit the dealership/or the shop so that you can look at the cars maint. schedules and see what all has been done.
2. at that milage, your pretty much going to get basic things done yourself - replace fuel filter, flush tranny, sparks+ignition wires, timing belt, (while you at that, might as well change the alternator belt, p/s belt and a/c fan belt), get the cooling system flushed and fill accordingly.

Even though it may be a toyota, you got to do all those maint things to keep it running like one!
