Does it sound like a diesel engine? If it does, you are in limp mode. Spark plugs, coil pack or fuel injector.

 

Coil pack bad will cause a check engine light. Air filter clogged could be the problem.

 

Changed spark plugs denso. No misfire. It does sound like diesel sometimes. I dont need to push the rpm to the limit. If I keep them on 3000 the speed will keep going up.
Just it will not go over 4000.

Air filter is good I put a new one 20000 ml ago and checked it does not look bad I can put a new one. Could this be from the fuel pressure. The car stars fine though.

Could be too. I am waiting but no codes. Used to misfire a little. But since I changed the plugs and the battery runs smoother. A couple of tabs on the coils have snapped but they seam to stay in place.
