replaced:
throttle position sensor.
idle control valve clean and gasket
fuel injector cleaner
replaced pvc valve
fuel filter
transmission shift solenoid.
spark plugs
cleaned intake manifold

 

Have you tried throwing money at it?

 

yes so far ive thrown about 500 what makes it harder is that it never happens when i take it to mechanics and i try to show them the problem. the engine light does not come on and i havent took it to toyota stealership

 

Have you checked for a vacuum leak. This can be your issue.

You don't ever need to deal with a stealership (consider them for an alignment job only).

I recommend you replace the retard. Toyotas are one of the easiest cars to work on.

 

How's your fuel mileage been?

 

my gas mileage is great when drive to dallas 3hr/200mi i have a lil bit more than half a tank when i get there

 

Vacuum lines are so easy to check. Just open your hood and inspect the lines. It doesn't take a rocket scientist or a mechanic to do it.
I'm placing my bets on something vacuum related but it could be anything really.

 

Was the IACV checked? Or just cleaned? Also, was it properly reinstalled? Those things are tricky and SUPER touchy on these engines.

 

ive inspected the lines not to long ago didnt see any dry rot or slits. and yes i cleaned and replaced I IACV and frog gasket when i did so it ran better and didnt idle as rough and i also took it to austin after doing that (4hours away)

 

How about your battery and alternator?

 

I have a gold duralast battery about 2 month old in a brand new alternator that's about 2 months old

 

What about the cables and terminals? A bad connection or old hardware can cause the same symptoms...

 

Have you cleaned the EGR valve and checked the EGR modulator out? Either of these (or both) can really screw up the idle stability.
