Remote Opening of ALL Venza Doors Via KeyFob:
Last year I programmed my Venza for the 2 Beeps setup to unlock ALL Doors when I touch the Drivers' Door or Passenger Door. BUT I have found out that if I use the Keyfob to unlock the doors remotely I hear the 2 Beeps but the other Doors still stay locked until I go up to the Venza and Manually touch the Doors myself with the keyfob in my pocket. This is especially annoying since we are moving and I need a second person at times to go to the car to load in things - but when I remotely press the Keyfob the Passenger doors and back doors still remain locked for the other person?? Does anyone know if this is some kind of safety override re Toyota? And is there a workaround?

No it doesn't, pressing the unlock button twice does nothing, - that is the frustrating part, in that you can repeatedly press the Keyfob and hear the 2 beeps over and over again - but only the Drivers' Door is opened!! Maybe this is some type of Safety Overide but IMHO there should be a way to bypass it.

Keyfob
Pressing keyfob unlock button once unlocks all doors
With ignition in the ON position (hit start button twice WITHOUT press brake pedal) or with car running.
Hit the Setup button on multifunction display
Go to Keyless Entry
Go to All Doors Unlock
Select "1 Press" by hitting the Select Button
You will see Saving...
Now the all the doors will unlock when the unlock button is pressed on the keyfob

Pressing keyfob unlock button twice unlocks all doors
With ignition in the ON position (hit start button twice WITHOUT press brake pedal) or with car running.
Hit the Setup button on multifunction display
Go to Keyless Entry
Go to All Doors Unlock
Select "2 Press" by hitting the Select Button
You will see Saving...
Press the unlock button on the keyfob will unlock the driver side door. Pressing the unlock button on the keyfob again within 3 seconds will unlock all doors. This is factory default

Keyless Entry
Handle unlocks all doors
Ignition is in the OFF position (car off)
Press and hold the Unlock button on the keyfob and press and hold the Lock button on the keyfob for 5 seconds.
The multifunction display will show all doors open and the car will beep. So when you grab the driver's side door handle, all the doors will unlock.

Handle unlocks just driver's side door
Ignition is in the OFF position (car off)
Press and hold the Unlock button on the keyfob and press and hold the Lock button the keyfob for 5 seconds.
The multifunction display will show the driver's side door open and the car will beep. So when you grab the driver's side door handle, just the driver's door will unlock.

Have you tried your spare key? Making sure you're hitting the unlock button within three seconds? Maybe defective keyfob?... If you're sure it's the keyfob then I would take it to the dealership.

Hope this helped.

Thanks grv the problem was opening ALL doors remotely, see my reply to Paul below.
I think grv was providing the programming steps (from the manual) to enable you to program your doors for the keyfob or the smartkey entry, if you wish to make a change.

BTW - welcolme to the forum grv
